Opened in March this year, Six by Nico is chef Nico Simeone’s second restaurant in Glasgow.

Operating as a six week pop up, each concept has a tasting menu based around a theme with a modern take on the chippie, childhood favourites and American classics having been served up so far.

Simeone says about his innovative culinary venture: “It is the first of its kind in Glasgow and one that we hope will add to the appeal of the already burgeoning restaurant scene in Finnieston.

“The concept was born from our team’s love of experimenting with new ingredients and developing and creating new dishes.

"By challenging ourselves to do this every six-weeks we feel we have created the perfect recipe for an exciting epicurean adventure for not just our diners, but our team too.”

The latest concept is Illusion, which was introduced on the restaurant’s Instagram and Facebook pages with this teaser video.

Described on the restaurant's social media, the new concept sounds intriguing:

"Things are not always as they seem. Our fifth theme is more than just a play on the mind.

"The whole experience will be centred around mysterious special perceptual experiences, in which information arising from how each dish seems, leads to an incorrect perception of how each dish will taste.

"We want to take as many people down the road of Illusion as possible; the feeling is amazing."

The menu launches on the 29th August until the 8th September, and more info and bookings can be made here.
