The Penny Farthing Race is an initiative by Neil Laughton and David Fox-Pitt MBE and is a charity cycle that aims to help raise vital funds for Mary’s Meals, a charity that feeds over 1.5m hungry children annually.
The Gin71 Buchanan St branch, located on the first floor of the House of Fraser department store, has been selected as the partner venue for the Glasgow leg.
Victorian attired cyclists will make their way into the city centre handing out free vouchers in return for a free Hendricks & Tonic in the Gin71 House of Fraser venue.
Owner Paul Reynolds said: “The Penny Farthing race is set to be an amazing spectacle however most importantly it raises a lot of money and awareness for Mary’s Meals.
"Hendrick’s is one of our most popular gin offerings across all of the Gin71 venues and we are looking forward to giving away lots of free drinks for this very worthwhile initiative!”
The Hendrick’s branded Penny Farthing cyclists will be handing out 100 vouchers on Buchanan St on Monday 12 August between 4-6pm.
The vouchers can then be exchanged at Gin71 Buchanan St within House of Fraser in return for a complimentary gin and tonic.
