A new whisky tasting night in Edinburgh is set to feature not only delicious whiskies but also some of the best live music the city has to offer.

The Rhythm n’ Booze Whisky Club is a one of a kind whisky tasting. Blending together music and whisky, it is hosted every two months by Felipe Schrieberg – founder of Whisky Business, whisky blogger for Forbes.com, and lead singer of Edinburgh-based band The Blueswater.

Following a successful first tasting in May, the second edition of the Rhythm n’ Booze Whisky Club will feature contemporary folk harpist and songwriter Esther Swift.

Her music has been featured on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3, and Radio 6, and she has played folk festivals throughout the UK. She will be accompanied by drummer and percussionist Paul Archibald (Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra, Free Nelson Mandoomjazz, The Blueswater).

Felipe and the musicians will lead guests through an interactive evening, featuring five specially selected whiskies and fun experiments which will engage guest’s senses in new and unexpected ways.

The tasting will take place in a unique Edinburgh venue converted from its original use as a church, the Assembly Roxy.

Felipe, who is excited to once again bring such a fun event back to the city, said: “After our last successful tasting, we’re looking forward to not only serving great whisky, but to also bring deserved attention to Esther, who is a superb songwriter and harpist.

“Our aim is to create an innovative and delicious whisky tasting experience, with help from the city’s best musicians, and she certainly is an excellent fit for what we do.”

• The next tasting will be held July 7th, more information and tickets are available here.
