Scottish actor Martin Compston, who plays Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott in BBC drama Line of Duty, has revealed plans to install a bar in his Las Vegas home with its own Tennent’s Lager tap.

Speaking to ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on the promo-trail for season five of the hugely popular series, Martin was asked by Philip Schofield how the install was coming on as he reflected on his life in Las Vegas with his wife, American actress Tianna Chanel Flynn.

Martin said: “I’m building my bar! The lovely people at Tennent’s are building me a tap, so I’ll have my own tap for my bar. Yeah, you’ve got to have those wee home comforts you know.”

Alan McGarrie, group brand director for Tennent’s said: “We’re used to seeing Martin’s character in Line of Duty getting information out of suspects, but today he had a taste of his own medicine facing questions from Phil.

“Following the interview, we can confirm for the record that we’re working with Martin on a fount for his bar with further evidence to come soon.”

Martin is a long-time fan of Tennent’s and was recently first in line at ‘The Tennent’s Story’, the new visitor centre at Tennent’s Wellpark Brewery, which opened in November 2018.
