After a 2 year battle, the group, who finally took over the old Sammy Dows Pub in May of 2015, say they are delighted to now confirm the launch night of Saturday 25th June.
The night will be open to all and will feature a live band and DJ Pete from Hollywood Boulevard, a welcome by the new team and food and drink samples of famous Lebowskis Burgers, Special Dishes, White Russians and Beers.
The Lebowskis Brand started with Kained’s first opening in 2007 with Lebowskis West on Argyle Street in Finnieston, with the Edinburgh branch opening in 2009.
The new Southside venue represents a fresher, more grown up and contemporary evolution of The Lebowskis brand.
As expected, guests will be able to enjoy the unique burgers and White Russians that Lebowskis is most famed for. Its list of over 25 White Russians, draws inspiration from the cult movie namesake The Big Lebowski, where “The Dude’s” favourite beverage is, of course the Vodka, Kahlua and Milk mix.
At Lebowskis South, all the favourites from Lebowskis West and Lebowskis Edinburgh’s menus will be available. However - Lebowskis South is set to step out from the shadow of its forebears with a new list of ‘premium’ White Russians and a menu update with new showcase burgers, which the team say "will be bigger, more elaborate and completely over the top".
The new look of the Lebowskis rebrand has been designed by the groups managing director, Graham Suttle, alongside Paul Martin of PMD who are tasked with bringing the design to life and make the unit a standout destination for the Strathbungo and southside community.

Kained have spent the past month putting together a carefully selected team sourced from far and wide, who have been training solidly for the past few weeks, both in Lebowskis West, Lebowskis Edinburgh and in The Kained Training Academy located above The Finnieston. Kained are consciously ensuring that the teams have the full skill set required to hit the ground running and deliver the trademark service expected by our customers.
Lebowskis General Manager, Lindsey Campbell has come up from Young’s in London and brings 12 years of management experience in some of the country’s top eateries and bars. Lindsey said: “The reputation of Kained as a great operator reaches as far as (if not further than) London, so when I heard of this opportunity to help develop the flagship brand, I couldn’t say no! Joining the Lebowskis Brand is a fantastic opportunity and I can’t wait for us to get stuck in, meet the community and to put our stamp on the Southside!”
