Irn-Bru's Twitter account pokes fun at royal baby announcement

The announcement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to have a baby may have only been recently made but the Irn-Bru Twitter account was quick off the mark to have a bit of fun with the news.

Posting on their official Twitter account the brand wrote: "Everyone loves a wee Ginger."

The message included a baby emoji and a picture of a bottle of Irn-Bru in a pram.

 

User @jennysolomons then replied: "Wow, quick off the mark with that one! #royalbaby."

To which the Irn-Bru account posted:

Though the Tweet has almost 500 likes, not everyone was happy with the joke with several people responding with calls for the old recipe to be brought back.
