Scottish brewer and retailer Innis & Gunn has announced they'll be selling  two new limited edition beers.

The first is a barrel aged Rye Whiskey Cask brewed for Canada day.

The second is a very special one-off 100-day matured version of its award-winning lager which is being sold to raise money for The Care Workers’ Charity, an organisation that provides crisis grants to current and former carers in need to help them pay for everything from food to funeral costs.

The limited edition beers

On sale from Tuesday 2 June – Rye Whiskey Cask

A global pioneer of barrel-aged brewing, Innis & Gunn has created this latest entry in its ‘Atlas Series’ especially for Canada Day.

The beer, which follows on from March’s sell out ‘Islay Whisky cask’, has been matured in the finest Canadian rye whiskey barrels.

The unique flavours from the oak transform the beer, creating a delicious combination of the sweet and spicy notes from the rye alongside the earthiness from the Scottish malt.

Innis & Gunn Rye Whiskey Cask will be on sale from the Innis & Gunn Online store priced at £7.99 a bottle and available in 1, 2 and 12 packs.

On sale from Thursday 4 June – ‘Scrubs Lager Beer’

This one-off batch of Innis & Gunn’s award-winning lager began maturing just before lockdown came in to affect.

The result of the 100-day maturation process is a smoother and more refined version of the brewer’s hugely popular lager.

All profits after UK beer duty will be donated to The Care Workers’ Charity with 24,000 bottles available to purchase.

It is also the first ever bottled limited edition lager from Innis & Gunn.

Innis & Gunn ‘Scrubs Lager Beer’ will be on sale from the Innis & Gunn Online store priced at £25 for 12 bottles.

Karolina Gerlich, executive director of The Care Workers’ Charity, said: “The Care Workers’ Charity is thrilled to have been chosen by Innis & Gunn as the charity partner for their special Scrubs Lager Beer.

"We put care workers at the heart of what we do and it’s fantastic that Innis & Gunn want to support our vital care workers through this difficult time.”

Dougal Gunn Sharp, founder and master brewer at Innis & Gunn, said: “With both of these beers we’re raising a glass to two very important things.

"From Tuesday we’ll release our beer to celebrate Canada’s big day, with big bold flavours to match.

"On Thursday we’ll raise a glass to our incredible care workers who continue to do such important work as we navigate our way through the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
