Looking for something a bit different to drink this summer? Then check out cheese tea, which launches for the first time in the UK this week, at Edinburgh concept store, eteaket.
Thought to be the first of its kind in the UK, cheese tea started in Taiwan about five years ago with people queuing for ages to get their cheesy fix.
Since then it has spread to America, mainly concentrated in New York and California, where #cheesemustache is becoming an Instagram trend.

Despite what you might be thinking, cheese tea isn't a mug of hot tea sprinkled with some grated cheddar.
Think of it like a lightly whipped, cheesecake flavoured milkshake… but nicer.
It works with a wide range of teas but eteaket’s favourite (and probably easiest to get your head around) is their Strawberries & Cream infusion which goes well with the creamy cheese.

If you'd rather try before you buy or are just curious, then head along to eteaket's Tea Room Concept Store in central Edinburgh from this Friday (22 June) to get your free sample so you can see what all the fuss is about.
Cheese tea will also be on the Tea Room menu along with the brand's new Tea Latte range (including their pink Chai Beetroot Latte, black Royal Earl Grey Charcoal Latte and orange Chilli Rooibos Turmeric Latte).
