Edinburgh Gin add poached pear liqueur to flavoured gin range - and it's ideal for festive cocktails

Gin fans can enjoy a new sweet treat thanks to the latest addition to the Edinburgh Gin portfolio.

Edinburgh Gin has recently announced the introduction of a new drink ahead of the festive season - poached pear gin liqueur.

The celebratory tipple has Edinburgh Gin Classic at its core and is bursting with natural flavours, including sweet pear, delicate red wine and warming festive spices, such as clove, cinnamon and nutmeg.

The deep burgundy liqueur can be served over ice, mixed with fizz or as a heated up as a warming drink.

Speaking of the new addition, Neil Boyd, UK Managing director of Ian Macleod Distillers who own Edinburgh Gin, said: “Our range of gin liqueurs has always boasted wonderful flavour combinations.

"The Poached Pear gin liqueur is yet another sophisticated flavour – and one that I’m sure will delight drinkers as we approach the festive period.

“Edinburgh Gin liqueurs are extremely versatile. They can be enjoyed as traditional mixed serves, in cocktails, with sparkling wine or even as a hot serve. With an ABV of just 20%, they also tap into the demand we’re seeing for lower ABV serves.”

Where to buy

Edinburgh Gin Poached Pear Gin Liqueur (ABV 20%, 50cl) is now available exclusively through John Lewis & Partners (online and in-store) and online at Edinburgh Gin with a RRP of £16.50.
