Dubbed The 1967, the unique blend of whiskies from Scotland and Ireland have been married together before being finished in Portuguese Wine Casks for a final period of maturation.

Priced at £50 a bottle, there have been just 1967 of the special bottlings made and the producers say they are the perfect gift for any Celtic fan.

A portion of the profits from each sale will also go to charitable causes and the Celtic Foundation.

Posting on their Facebook, the brand wrote: "One sunny May afternoon 50 years ago in the heat of Lisbon 11 men wearing the green and white hoops of Celtic FC created British sporting history.

"Now, 50 years later, the essence of that moment in time has been captured in a unique way by our team at Eden Mill."

Paul Miller, who founded the St Andrews based distillery alongside Tony Kelly, said: "We believe the 1967 Celtic Whiskey is a fitting tribute to a unique club and its unique achievement."
