(Brewery: Firestone Walker, Country: US, Style: Imperial Stout, abv: 14.5%)

Craft beer Edinburgh

This is an infamous beer, one of the world’s best – aged in Heaven Hills Bourbon barrels for one year, you won’t have tasted a Russian imperial oatmeal stout like this before.

And, you might not have the chance to again soon, as this may be the only keg in the country at present. Get in fast.

Biere De Saison Apricot

(Brewery: Kernel, Country: England, Style: Saison, abv: 4.6%)

Tart, foudre saison beer, made with apricot for little stone fruit sweetness.

Yet to be released, this is a stunning, entry-level introduction to saison beers.

This is an excellent example: complex, earthy yeast tones, nice and dry on the palate – it’s easy to understand why saison beers have undergone such a revival of late.

Platform C

(Brewery: Fallen, Country: Scotland, Style: New world IPA, abv: 6.3%)

A cocktail of US hops like Cita, Cascade and Mosaic make up this delicious New world IPA, full of citrus and pine-resin flavours, balanced out with floral toffee notes.

A cracking example of brewing from the guys over at Fallen, with a malty foundation that lets those hops shine through.

Prenzlauer Berg

(Brewery: Pohjala, Country: Estonia, Style: Berliner Weisse, abv: 4.5%)

Named after a Berlin neighbourhood by Estonian brewers, this is a sour wheat beer, brewed with raspberries and seriously refreshing – a proper Summer drink.

It’s got something of a raspberry milkshake feel about it with a lactose tang, creamy sweet fruit and a great rich mouthfeel.

Tasty Juice

(Brewery: Lervig, Country: Norway, Style: East coast style IPA, abv: 6%)

Fulfilling its own description, Tasty Juice is packed with only fresh hops, and this hazy juice

bomb of an IPA is a stunner. Take note though – Tasty Juice only has a short shelf life, so get your hands on these hops and fruity notes as fast as you can.
