Posting on their Facebook page, the Pop Up Geeks, who have previously created Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and Harry Potter themed pop-up bars, teased: "That’s no moon! No, it’s the finest cocktail bar in the Galaxy.

"Come to the dark side and join us aboard our deep space, orbital battle station where our startenders will be mixing up a vast array of intergalactic cocktails inspired by a Galaxy far, far away. This is the bar you’ve been looking for."

The Cantina launches Monday 11th November at their home at The Arches on East Market Street and will run into the New Year.

Booking's until the end of January 2020 are now open - to secure your place aboard you need to fill in a form here.

Co-founder Linden Wilkinson said: "“The Geeks have never been to space, so we’re incredibly excited to be diving into a galaxy spanning, super sci-fi heavy cocktail menu and paying homage to years of nostalgia.

"A number of drinks on the Cantina menu are inspired by some of our all time favourite moments in film, so it’s a dream come true to be able to bring them to life.”

The P.U.G are also set to host a week-long Halloween party in Edinburgh, which celebrates the ‘master of horror’, Stephen King at the end of the month and are currently running their latest Monty Python theme now.
