Tempest Brewing Co. lands six-month deal with Aldi

An up and coming brewery in the Borders is enjoying the taste of success after landing a six-month listing with Aldi.

Tempest Brewing Co.’s Long White Cloud was the fastest seller in this summer’s Aldi Scottish Beer Festival, with 1700 bottles sold in just two weeks.

As a result, Long White Cloud will be stocked as an exclusive supermarket listing across Aldi’s 61 Scottish stores from July, in a deal worth at least £50,000.

Annika Meiklejohn at Tempest Brewing Co., said: “We were really happy with the demand for Long White Cloud during Aldi's most recent Scottish beer festival. As this was the first time we have taken part, we were delighted with the positive reaction from customers. Aldi are a joy to work with and we are really excited to see our product on their shelves from July.”

50 different large and small breweries from across the country took part in Aldi’s sixth in-store Beer Festival, which has generated more than £750,000 combined for the micro brewing industry in Scotland over the past three years.

Limited stock from Aldi’s in-store beer festival remains in stores across Scotland.
