The new gin, which is called Black Mist Gin has been created with the three cornerstones of gin; Juniper, Coriander and Angelica Root along with a select few other botanicals.

Designed to stand out, it features a bewitching black shimmer when shaken – which the distillery team say is perfect for exciting cocktails or G & Ts.

The new gin, which joins Black Thistle's established gin and vodka range and is priced at £37 for 700ml, is a London Dry Gin - unusual for its dramatic colouring - with the brand stating that it works well with a dash of tonic and a generous wedge of lime.

Based in Brechin, in the heart of Angus, Black Thistle create their range of hand crafted and hand bottled spirits on their two bespoke German made copper stills.
