2023 marks the first time Jura Distillery has hosted a Feis Ile in-person event since 2019 and to celebrate, they will release an extremely limited bottling that is dedicated to Graham Logan and his 30 years of service as manager of the beachside distillery.
Graham has handpicked the cask for this bottling – Cask 1777 from Warehouse 2 – a first-fill bourbon which is a perfect representation of Jura’s signature house style.
This exclusive whisky is a celebration of Graham and his incredible career and exemplifies what Jura means to him and typifies the character of not only Jura, but Graham too.
On the nose, you may find toffee and butterscotch with hints of vanilla pod and Scottish tablet with ripe stone fruit, mandarin oil and waxy citrus notes, like the sticky-sweet spice of a ginger cake.
On the palate there's salted caramel, ginger nut biscuit, frangipane and waxy citrus, followed by an assortment of juicy orchard and stone fruit.
A bright, fruity finish awaits, balanced with a gentle coastal influence, rounded nicely with a spiced-treacle richness. A drop of water accentuates the fruit, whilst revealing delicate floral and strawberry notes.
Jura’s Feis Ile Distillery Exclusive in honour of Graham Logan will be available from the Jura distillery, at their Feis Ile day on 2 June June, priced at £120.
