St Andrews Brewing Co release '38 year itch' ale to celebrate Scotland rugby win

Rugby fans can now toast Scotland's historic win over England with a new ale from a Fife brewery.

St Andrews Brewing Co have released a new beer to celebrate the Scotland rugby team's historic win at Twickenham at the start of the Six Nations this month.

Titled 38 year itch - a nod to the amount of time that has passed since our national team has won at Twickenham - the Scotch Ale is available for pre-order now, with proceeds going to the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

Posting on their social media, the team at St Andrews Brewing Co, wrote: "Shamelessly releasing 38 Year Itch Scotch Ale 3.8% to celebrate @Scotlandteam laying to rest the Twickenham hoodoo last weekend."

The rugby match, which took place on Saturday 6 February, saw Scotland beat England 11-6 meaning that the Calcutta cup is once again back home in Scotland.

Founded in 2012, St Andrews Brewing Co is an award-winning business that recently successfully crowdfunded to open a new brewery.

The 38 year itch ale is available to pre-order now at £24 for 12 cans, with profits going to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation for MND Research.
