The first Walkers festive flavour has been revealed for Christmas 2020 - and it may surprise you as you’ll soon be able to tuck into a bag of sausage roll flavoured crisps.
This year's festive choices follow in the footsteps of 2019’s limited edition festive selection, which included the highly controversial Brussels sprout flavour, alongside Glazed Ham and Pigs in Blankets.
The Walkers sausage roll crisps will be sold in stores nationwide from Monday 19 October, with single packs, multipacks and share packs available.
The crisp flavour has been given the flavour title of ‘The Power of Sausage Roll’, and money made from the special edition will go to charity.
Five pence from every pack of the sausage roll flavoured crisps sold will be donated to the Trussell Trust, which supports a network of food banks across the UK.
Walkers has teamed up with YouTuber, LadBaby, for the company’s 2020 Christmas advert.
LadBaby, whose real name is Mark Hoyle, takes the advert reigns over from superstar Mariah Carey, who made a surprise star appearance in Walkers 2019 festive TV spot.
The YouTuber is best known for landing the Christmas number one slot on the charts over the past two years with his festive charity singles.
This included the song We Built This City - an ode to sausage rolls! sung to the tune of We Built This City by Starship. The song beat Ariana Grande to the spot in 2018.
Speaking about the announcement, Mark Hoyle said, “The iconic sausage roll meets Britain’s favourite crisps - what’s not to love?
“It’s the ultimate mash up of two British classics, and they are raising money for charity too!”
