Scottish TGI Fridays launch click and collect service - here's how to enjoy favourite dishes at home

The popular restaurant chain is set to trial a click and collect service, starting next month.

TGI Fridays fans in Edinburgh and Glasgow will soon be able to tuck into their favourite meals at home, thanks to the introduction of the chain's click and collect service.

Launching on Wednesday 6 May, ahead of the May bank holiday, the new ordering system will allow guests to order their food and pay for it online, then collect it from outside their nearest restaurant - where social distancing measures will be fully in place.

Home delivery will also be available through Just Eat and Deliveroo.

What's on the menu?

A specially tailored menu made up of 22 Fridays favourite dishes - covering a range of appetisers, mains, desserts and kids’ options - will be available to click and collect from 24 selected restaurants, which include Glasgow Fort and Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird.

Fridays’ fans can enjoy favourite dishes including Fridays Sesame Chicken strips, Classic American Burger and Fridays Ultimate Double Glazed Ribs.

Customers can order online and choose a collection slot between 12-9pm, before being advised on how to safely collect the order.

Speaking about the launch of the click and collect service, Robert B. Cook, CEO at TGI Fridays said: “We can’t wait to re-fire the grills in preparation for the launch of our new click and collect service in 24 selected locations.

"These initial sites have been chosen as we either own and can control the car park or the landlord has given us dedicated access. We will also be restoring delivery services at the same locations via Just Eat and Deliveroo, as applicable.

"We will continue to monitor UK Government advice but after an initial trial we aim to extend the rollout as soon as it is safe to do so.”
