Beer Makes Glasgow, The Charitable Beer Festival is back for another two-day celebration of local beer and music, with all ticket proceeds going to Drumchapel food bank.
Some of Scotland's finest breweries will gather at Drygate from Friday 30 August until Saturday 31, with festival organisers hoping to add to the £10,000 already donated to the food bank.
Lead by a small and tirelessly working team of volunteers, Beer Makes Glasgow is a festival founded on the power of local beer and local communities doing good.
With brewing at its heart, the two-day festival will showcase more than 50 of the best local beers alongside top music and entertainment from local artists, with additional fund-raising opportunities to raise even more money for this outstanding cause.
Rallying together a range of brewers from Glasgow and wider Scotland, Beer Makes Glasgow leads the way in demonstrating how food and drink makers can put a creative spin on fundraising and Glasgow-based key sponsors Drygate Brewing Co. is a driving force behind this thinking.
Earlier this year the brewery unveiled its ‘Can for a Can’ initiative, a like for like exchange programme where cans of beer can be swapped for cans of food and donated to Drumchapel food bank.

Festival-goers can also look forward to breweries such as Overtone, Up Front, Dead End Brew Machine, Gallus, Grunting Growler - all of which have participated in previous years.
Festival first timers include Dundee’s 71 Brewing, as well as the launch of a brand-new lager bar to quench the thirst of fizz fans.
Chris Moriarty, Beer Makes Glasgow’s co-founder and organiser says: “We can’t wait to embrace the challenge of smashing the fundraising totals from the last two years.
"Our first year hosting the event under the seven peaks of Drygate was a huge success and we’re hoping that this year will be even bigger and better”.
As one of only a handful of independent community support food banks in Scotland, Drumchapel food bank relies on charitable partners such as Beer Makes Glasgow for funding to support local families most in need.
Drumchapel Food Bank’s convener, Liz Atkinson, comments: “Beer Makes Glasgow lets us help people from all walks of life, ensuring that we remain visible and active with all members of the community who may need to connect with our cause.
"We are enormously thankful for all the hard work that Beer Makes Glasgow and Drygate put in year in, year out.”
