The original rumour stemmed from a Tweet by US based Twitter user Beth F, who asked the official Fanta page: “Have you discontinued Fanta Lemon?”
Fanta’s response, which has since been deleted, left British drinkers in a spin: “Sadly, yes, Fanta lemon was discontinued. But, you can check out our 12 flavors at Fanta.com to see what’s available near you.”
With reports on several online platforms seemingly confirming the idea, fans of the zesty drink took to the internet to voice their disapproval.

One fan has even gone to the trouble of creating a petition on Change.org stating: "Discontinuing the product is a disgrace and a crime against humanity."
However Fanta have moved quickly to clear up the confusion by posting on their official account.
We’ve got good news! Although Fanta Lemon is still not available in the US, it has not been discontinued elsewhere! 🙌 We apologize for any confusion.
