Renowned for their success in Bistrot de Luxe in London’s Baker Street, both restaurants within the hotel bring French fare to the menu in formal (Pampadour) and more relaxed (Brasserie) options.
The Pompadour by Galvin is hailed as one of the most magnificent dining rooms in the city, which originally opened in 1925 in the heyday of steam rail travel.

The listed interior décor reflects the decadent history and is definitely worth a visit thanks to the long standing reputation of having the best table in Edinburgh with impressive views of the Castle from the grand, arched windows.
The Galvin Brasserie de Luxe offers a chic, Parisian-style interior thanks to metro tiles, grand mirrors and archetypal lighting, and a relaxed menu for lunch and dinner, which reflects French style with seasonal touches.
The Pompadour by Galvin will give all guests whose birthday falls on the 17th September, the official anniversary, a complimentary meal if they are dining in the restaurant that evening.
And The Galvin Brasserie de Luxe will hold a special Oysters and Champagne Masterclass on 14th September, which will include giving guests surprise birthday gifts, as they enjoy the luxury pairing.

For anyone looking to really push the boat out, the hotel is also launching the 'Landmark Experience.'
Up to five guests will be able to stay in the hotel’s Caley Suite for only £5,000 during the month of September.
The ‘Landmark Experience’ offers guests the chance to stay two nights in one of the hotel’s most luxurious suites, which includes three en-suite bedrooms and a living room with stunning views overlooking Edinburgh Castle.
A five-course tasting dinner followed by a five-flight whisky tasting will be served in the intimate surrounds of the suite, providing the perfect backdrop for a celebration.
The following morning guests can enjoy the hotel’s Quintessential Breakfast, as well as a visit to the UK’s only Guerlain Spa for a final spot of pampering.
A fashion show with afternoon tea in Peacock Alley, and special wedding packages are also available.
Dale MacPhee, General Manager, Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, said: “We are delighted to be honouring our fifth year as part of the Waldorf Astoria family with such a superb calendar of promotions and events throughout September.

"We hope that guests old and new will join the festivities as we celebrate this fantastic milestone as the capital’s luxury landmark."
