The Merchant City is always a fun place to spend an evening and with the Merchant Square on hand to offer and all weather venue for an 'indoor' street party you know you're in for a good evening.
Sample the wares of many of the Merchant City's finest bars and restaurants before heading to the Square to enjoy the live music - including The Soul Kings and Spinal Chord - before ushering in the new year with a balloon drop at the bells.

Go back in time to the disco era this New Year, with Hogmanay at the Drygate.

Those of you looking for something a little heavier on the dance side of things should head to the west end and SWG3.
The venue will be presenting 21 years of dance floor anthems from 1995 to the present day with a lineup that features Tall Paul, Jeremy Healy, Fergie, K-Klass, Jon Mancini and Iain 'boney' Clark.
All DJs on the bill will be playing classics sets, making this a night to remember.

Beer fans can enjoy seeing in the New Year with selection of the finest beers from 2016.
The staff at the Hippo Tap Room have created a stellar list of their favourite beers from the year with an "all-star line-up on the taps" including beers from Cromarty, Fallen and Tempest.
The bar will be open until 3am (subject to licence) all sound-tracked by some of the great musical artists that have sadly left us this year.
