Spiced shortbread biscuits

Put the caster sugar, butter and salt into mixing bowl and then cream together till light in colour.

Sieve flour, cornflour, cinnamon and nutmeg together.

Add to mixing bowl and mix till clear.

Turn onto lightly floured worktop.

Roll evenly to approx 7.5mm thick. Cut out in desired shapes.

Place on non-stick trays or lined with silicone paper.

Bake in oven pre-heated to 380oF, 190oC (or 170oC fan), gas 4.

Bake for 15 – 16 mins (less if biscuits are thinner).

Dredge with caster sugar whilst still warm.

Put the kettle on for a cuppa.

  • 425 grams of Plain Flour
  • 10 grams of Ground Cinnamon
