Nando’s fans in Scotland who have been missing their PERi-PERi fix can rejoice at the news that a select number of restaurants have now opened their doors again.
A total of 54 restaurants across the UK and Ireland are open for delivery and click and collect - including sites across Scotland.
A further 40 restaurants are also due to reopen on Wednesday (27 May).
The reopening comes following successful trials in a limited number of locations, with the delivery service now extended to numerous cities up and down the country, including Fountain Park in Edinburgh and Springfield Quay in Glasgow.
The menu on offer will be slightly reduced in order to help staff maintain social distancing in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
But Nando’s favourites including PERi-PERi chicken wings, butterfly chicken, halloumi sticks and PERi chips will be among the selection available to enjoy from the comfort of your home.
All delivery orders placed through the Nando’s website can also earn chilies through the chain’s loyalty scheme, which can be redeemed when restaurants reopen for dine in service later in the year.
Each Nando’s restaurant is working under strict government guidelines, on top of their existing health and safety procedures.
Every member of staff has been washing their hands more frequently, PPE is available to all to wear, and social distancing rules are observed throughout shifts.
Designated waiting areas have also been set up for drivers and collect customers, and order volumes will be monitored to avoid queues building up.
The restaurant teams will also be working hard to make sure deliveries are kept as safe as possible, with drivers maintaining social distancing while waiting to collect orders, and contactless delivery will be available on request.
All 54 Nando’s restaurants that are now open, along with the 40 that will follow, will continue to operate behind closed doors exclusively for delivery and, in the majority of cases, click and collect.
They will not be offering a dine in service at this time.
All click and collect orders must be placed online via Nandos.co.uk to avoid queues and keep everyone safe.
Customers are encouraged not to travel to the restaurant unnecessarily, unless they are picking up a collect order at their allotted time, and to read the new collection procedure, or your confirmation email, when you order.
