The 53 year old chef, currently starring alongside Melanie Sykes in Watch’s new show Humble Pie where Cookery skills meet poker faces, was classically trained as a commis with Albert and Michel Roux at Le Gavroche.

By the age of 33, Marco Pierre White had become the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin stars. During these years White had working for him Gordon Ramsay, Eric Chavot (The Capital), Heston Blumenthal (The Fat Duck) and many other names who would go on to change the UK dining scenes and carve out their own identities.

Marco’s return takes place on 30th October and includes a delicious three course lunch from a menu that Marco has specially selected for the occasion. Guests in attendance will also have the chance to spend some time with Marco and have copies of his famous “White Heat” cookbook signed.

Located in the heart of Glasgow city centre at 75 Waterloo Street, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill has quickly established itself as the place to be seen since its opening just over 12 months ago by diners attracted to its unique take on “affordable yet glamorous” cuisine.

Guests on the day will enjoy a specially selected, by Marco, three course lunch below along with three paired cocktails featuring spirits from the William Grant and Sons repertoire of great brands.

Dishes on the menu will include a “Cappuccino of wild mushrooms and chervil”, “Grilled 8oz salmon steak, pommes frites, roast vine tomatoes with Béarnaise sauce” and of course no Steakhouse Menu would be complete without “10oz rib-eye steak, triple cooked chips, grilled tomato, onion rings and watercress”

Duncan Johnston, general manager, said: “We can’t wait for Marco to return to Glasgow, a year on from his first visit, to see how the restaurant has evolved and the team has followed his food ideology. There is a fantastic buzz around the restaurant and in the kitchen as we prepare to host diners for what I am confident will be another memorable occasion”

• Bookings will be taken from 12 noon. To make a reservation at this un-missable event, call the restaurant on 0141 226 7726 or visit www.mpwsteakhouseglasgow.co.uk
