What is the Foodies Festival Christmas?

Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre will be transformed into a spectacular culinary wonderland this weekend as Foodies Festival launches their Christmas festival, bringing celebrity and top chefs, award-winning artisan producers and a spectacular selection of fine food and drink together under one roof for a fabulous festive feast.

The event will be held at EICC, 150 Morrison Street, Edinburgh

When is it? 

The event will run this weekend from Friday 13th – Sunday 15th November

Gin’gle Bells, Gin’gle Bells…

Get into the festive spirit with a gin, or twelve, with Eden Mill who launch their 'Twelve Gins of Christmas' at Foodies Festival Christmas this weekend.

Daffy's Gin, Edinburgh Gin, Pickering's Gin, Shetland Reel Gin, Glasgow Distillery and St Andrews Distillery will also be available for you to enjoy and wrap up as gifts.

Elfs Cookery School

While parents shop and enjoy a chilled glass of bubbly from the Champagne Ski Bar, children under 12 can enrol in the Elf Cookery School, where they can bake and decorate cookies and cupcakes to leave out for Santa.

 

Live Music and Entertainment

Just like Christmas day there is lots of post-feasting fun to be had with live music, local choirs singing carols and the Chilly-Eating Competition (the winter version of the famous chilli contest).

Children 12 and under go free when accompanied by a paying adult

What is included with my ticket? 

Tickets include one day entry to the festival and free admission to food and drink masterclasses in The Chefs Theatre, Drinks Theatre, Cake & Bake Theatre and Elfs Cookery Theatre (subject to availability). There is live music provided throughout the day from The Entertainment Stage and samples available across the festival.

How do I Get there?

The EICC is easily accessible by bus or by tram – Visit Transport for Edinburgh for timetables

There are many car parks in close walking distance of the EICC:
Sheraton Hotel Car Park located 150 meters from the EICC
Semple Street Car Park located 300 meters from the EICC
National Car Parks (NCP) in central Edinburgh

How do I pay for things? 

Cash is accepted and some stalls accept cards. Cash machines are available as well. The festival does not operate a token/crown system.

Can I take pictures at the event? 

Visitors are welcome to take pictures and share their experience on social media with hashtag #FoodiesXmas and @foodiesfestival
