Doughnut lovers queue for hours at Glasgow's Krispy Kreme opening

In similar scenes to the US giants first store's opening in Edinburgh - though with slightly worse weather - Glasgow's doughnut lovers queued for hours in the rain to be the first people to try out the new Krispy Kreme at Braehead

The new store at Braehead - situated at the former Scottish Maritime Museum -  opened at 7am this morning, and there was no shortage of eager customers, with some queueing for hours to be the first to buy Krispy Kreme doughnuts at the store.

The Braehead store is the the third to open in Scotland after Livingston and Edinburgh and the company caused no end of excitement when they announced its opening on social media last month.

One of the first customers to try the new store said: "It was worth the wait!"

While another fan said: "Now that Krispy Kreme has come to Glasgow, I don't need to move to Edinburgh."
