Aberdeen's Cocoa Ooze to provide a luxury chocolate tasting for Caledonian Sleeper guests

Caledonian Sleeper guests are set for an evening of decadence with an Aberdeen-based chocolatier hosting an exclusive tasting on board.

Cocoa Ooze – which has a shop on Belmont Street in the city centre – will be treating guests on the iconic train to their luxurious chocs on Wednesday 15 July as they travel from London Euston to Aberdeen and Inverness.

The tasting, which is part of a calendar of on board events, will offer guests the chance to sample the sweet treats in the comfort of the Lounge Car.

Ryan Flaherty, Guest Experience Director at the Caledonian Sleeper, said: “We are passionate about showcasing Scotland’s quality local suppliers on board the Caledonian Sleeper and Cocoa Ooze is a great example.

“For guests this will be a fantastic event with the Aberdeen chocolatier treating them to some of their most popular chocolates at the tasting.”

Produced in Aberdeen, Cocoa Ooze’s hand crafted chocolates include a range of flavours using the finest quality ingredients.

Jamie Hutcheon, Director and Chocolatier at Cocoa Ooze, said: “This is a great event to be involved with. We’ll be offering guests the chance to sample five delicious chocolates and learn about the process of chocolate making, the ingredients used and Cocoa Ooze’s favourite flavours and finishings.”

The chocolate tasting event is the Caledonian Sleeper’s latest partnership in Serco’s plans to transform the service into an exemplary hospitality offering representative of Scotland’s finest.
