Hard Rock Café is celebrating its 44th birthday on 14th June 2015 and is doing so in 70’s style as burgers will be on offer at 71p! That’s right, 71p.
For those who are perhaps fall under the more mature category, one might remember the celebrated and well received opening of Hard Rock Café’s original venue in London back in 1971. Opened by Peter Morton and Isaac Tigrett, Hard Rock Café is recognised internationally with over 190 venues worldwide including various cafes, casinos and hotels.
Unless you have been living under a ‘rock’… you'll know that Scotland is home to two Hard Rock Café venues, one in Edinburgh and the other in Glasgow. First opening north of the border in 1998, Edinburgh welcomed the lauded establishment with open arms and Glasgow followed suit in 2013.

Since the opening of the Glasgow venue, the crowds gather in their masses and queue for that sweet American wholesome taste and renowned cheery service, which one might argue can be a little over the top at times. However, it is of no surprise to say Scotland loves a burger joint or two!
In spirit of the event, Glasgow’s Buchanan Street and Edinburgh’s George Street venues will be serving up their full ‘Legendary’ Burger menu at 71p to revellers which entails their infamous ‘Scottish Legendary Burger’. Burger enthusiasts may already be familiar this delicacy which consists of haggis, white cheddar and turnip frazzles and is topped with an Irn-Bru flavoured mayonnaise.

Baring in mind burgers will be available on a first come first served basis, normally costing £9.45, and that the venue is open from 12pm-11pm.
Word is it would be wise to get down early and that dressing head to toe in a 70’s attire is definitely encouraged!
