Dream job for whisky lovers as 'stunning' Scottish highlands and island distilleries search for staff

Multiple jobs are now open for applications across a range of Scottish distilleries in Speyside and one ‘stunning’ island location.

Chivas Brothers has opened applications for 22 seasonal host roles at its award-winning distillery visitor centres in Speyside and Orkney.

Suitable for those with a passion for whisky and exceptional customer service, these roles will provide successful applicants with a first-hand opportunity to immerse themselves in the heritage and craftsmanship of Chivas Brothers’ well known brands.

As advocates, the new staff will educate visitors about the whisky making process by leading distillery tours, helping them appreciate the unique characterises of different whiskies through tasting sessions of drams and craft whisky cocktails.

Jacques-Henri Brive, global head of brand advocacy and prestige acceleration at Chivas Brothers said: "Every Chivas Brothers whisky has a story to tell, and our hosts are the narrators who bring the craftsmanship, heritage and passion behind every dram to life.

“This is a special opportunity to grow skills in hospitality and guest management. When international guests walk into our iconic distilleries in the sweeping Speyside region, or further afield to witness the rugged beauty of Orkney, our hosts play a vital role in making that experience unforgettable.”

Eighteen of the roles available are spread across The Glenlivet Distillery, Strathisla Distillery and Aberlour Distillery in Speyside, while four will be based in Orkney at Scapa Distillery.

Contracts will run from mid-March until the end of October, with additional student positions available for a 12-week period over the summer.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and live within a commutable distance of the distilleries. Job listings can be found here for roles located in Speyside and here for roles located in Orkney.
