Award-winning Scottish island whisky to feature again in £1 million Golden Globes gift bag

The Golden Globes and Robb Report recently unveiled the exclusive gift bag offered to winners and presenters of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes, and a Scottish island whisky is making a return.

For the second year running, Isle of Harris Distillery has been selected as one of the standout brands included in The Ultimate Gift Bag, this time offering a spirit entirely exclusive to the Golden Globes.

The Ultimate Gift Bag’ is valued around $1 million, and recipients will have the opportunity to tailor selections to their personal interests.

Featuring nearly double the number of global travel getaways to last year, the package is housed in Atlas Bespoke’s Signature Duffel Bag and includes ‘The Ultimate Gift Book,’ a detailed guide featuring 35 offerings across travel, beauty, wellness, and spirits which recipients can use to tailor their selections.

Representing Scotland on the international stage, Isle of Harris Distillery has created a limited-edition single cask of The Hearach Single Malt Whisky exclusively for The Golden Globes Ultimate Gift Book.

Isle of Harris whisky Golden Globes

Distilled, matured and bottled on the Isle of Harris in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, this rare whisky spent eight years resting in a first-fill ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon cask and has been bottled at cask strength.

Inspired by the Golden Globes, this release stands apart from other single cask releases of The Hearach with a bespoke hand-numbered label marked with elegant golden circles and additional gold packaging elements in acknowledgment of the award’s form.

Hand-selected by the distillery’s head blender, Shona MacLeod, this single cask was chosen for its profile, one that reflects both the raw beauty of Harris and the skill of the young island distilling team. The interplay between island climate and long, unhurried maturation creates a whisky of exceptional depth and distinction, the team said.

With only 221 bottles, the expression is a celebration of character, place and craft — rich with creamy caramel, fruity tones and delicate floral notes.

Ron MacEachran, executive chairman at Isle of Harris Distillery, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have a whisky made in our small island community included in this year’s Golden Globes Gift Book.

“It is a rare opportunity to introduce The Hearach to some of the world’s most recognised actors and filmmakers and a moment of real significance for the team who crafted it.

“Our team of young island distillers approaches whisky the way a filmmaker approaches a story: with imagination, patience and true craftsmanship. We’re delighted to share this cask with a community of artists who understand that great work is never rushed and that the process is as meaningful as the final experience.”

This limited single cask bottling is available exclusively through The Golden Globes Ultimate Gift Book and is listed as: “Isle of Harris Distillery: One, six-bottle case of whisky from a cask produced exclusively for recipients ($1,080, available to approximately 35 recipients).”

Last year the distillery’s Isle of Harris Gin and inaugural single malt whisky, The Hearach, were 'standout inclusions' in the exclusive $1 million gift bags presented to winners and presenters. TV personalities Lorraine Kelly and Ross King named Isle of Harris Gin and The Hearach as the top gifts and “the best” during their recap on ITV’s Lorraine on 7 January 2025.
