Run by the Stirling Spirit Company, this year's event invites gin enthusiasts to sample concoctions from 30 producers, including Kinrara Gin, the Gin Bothy and Harris Gin.

Record-breaking event

1,000 gin lovers descended on the Stirling Gin Festival last year to sample spirits from Scotland and beyond - over 1200 bottles of gin were sold during the three tasting sessions, including 106 bottles of wild nettle infused Stirling Gin.

With tickets priced at a reasonable £27.50 (plus booking fee) for this year's exhibition, Stirling Spirit Company founder June McCann reveals that she fully expects the 2018 festival can top last year's record breaking event.

“We were thrilled with the figures and the fun that the fourth annual Stirling Gin Festival generated but I have no doubt in saying that the 2018 event will be both bigger and better.

“When it comes to value I think this year’s Stirling Gin Festival will quite simply be the best in Scotland and that is indeed our target. We will be presenting over 120 gins for tasting, compared to 100 last year and I have no doubt that the 2017 record of 1203 bottles sold will fall this November.”

The event is returning to the Stirling Highland Hotel for its fifth year, and McCann reveals that a new batch of producers will be appearing at the 2018 event.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Kinrara Gin to the Stirling Gin Festival for the first time. Nestled in the historic Cairngorm Estate their gin is infused with local berries and flora and I’m sure will prove a big hit with our patrons.

“We will also be welcoming the Gin Bothy from the Angus Glens and I’m sure their famous ‘Gunshot’ gin will shoot to the top of the gin charts.

“But with old favourites ranging from the exotic sunshine citrus sensations of Spain’s Valencia gin to the delightful sea kelp infused Harris gin and of course Stirling Gin to the forefront in its home city and all back for another year, our patrons will have the best of both worlds.”
