Based at Gordon Castle in Fochabers, an ancient seat of the Gordon Clan, the luxury brand will be serving its award winning botanical gin at both the VIP drinks reception and parties for the opening and closing celebrations. The opening night will see stars walk the red carpet at the Festival Theatre for the premier of Robert Carlyle's directorial debut, The Legend of Barney Thomson.

The small batch gin - which after only launching in 2014 is already the recipient of four prestigious spirit accolades - is distilled using botanicals from the Castle's spectacular 8.5 acre Walled Garden in Moray. It has been ‘Gin of the Month' at both Harrods and Fortnum & Masons and featured in Hello!'s Fashion Monthly Wish List.

Along with its gin, Gordon Castle Scotland's luxury range of bath and beauty products will also be given to the festival's top VIPs, including Robert Carlyle, Emma Thompson, Ray Winstone and Karen Gillan.

Angus Gordon Lennox of Gordon Castle Scotland said: "Both our gin and our bath and beauty range contain botanicals from our Walled Garden, one of the largest and oldest of its kind in Scotland, so it seems fitting that guests of the Edinburgh International Film Festival will be sampling a truly unique, Scottish product.

"We are very much looking forward to serving our gin to the great and the good of the film industry and hopefully they will take their new love for Gordon Castle Scotland back home with them - that may even be to Hollywood! Appropriate seeing as our gin just won a coveted gold medal at The Los Angeles International Spirits Competition."

• Gordon Castle Gin and Gordon Castle Scotland's luxury bath & beauty range are available from notonthehighstreet.com and the Gordon Castle online store and also in selected stockists across Scotland.
