Edinburgh based distillers, Summerhall Distillery, announced the launch of the new Pumpkin Spice Latte gin flavour as an addition to their handcrafted Pickering’s Gin range.

Distilled at Summerhall Distillery, Pickering’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Gin is based on the original recipe for Pickering’s 1947 Gin.

The gin is described as a classic London dry with a warm and spicy kick.

Co-founder and head distiller, Matt Gammell said: “This was a challenging, but exciting project for us. It was essential we harmonised the unique flavours of Pumpkin Spice with our original gin recipe, which required a lot of experimenting, tasting and perfecting.

"In particular, working with coffee was a new direction for us and it was especially interesting when balancing the spices, with the sweetness of the vanilla and the bitterness and bite of the coffee.

"We hope it’s a product our customers can genuinely enjoy and have fun with.”

Using 13 different botanicals, Pickering’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Gin is a delicate blend of sweet vanilla and cinnamon spice, that leads to a subtle finish of freshly ground coffee.

Pickering’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Gin is available exclusively at the Pickering's website as a limited-edition product for the autumn and winter.
