Edinburgh will sponsor this year’s summer celebrations in St Andrew Square Garden as part of a three-year deal to support entertainment in August in the heart of the city.
Kicking off on Friday the 17th July, the brand has also announced a six-week entertainment programme that includes jazz, comedy and entertainment from some of the biggest names on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The activity will take place around a specially created Edinburgh Gin bar in the heart of the square with performances at nearby venues, including the world famous Spiegeltent, entertaining audiences into the night.
Announcing the sponsorship, Edinburgh Gin Managing Director Alex Nicol said it was a major development for the brand.
“Our product is made in the heart of the city so it’s appropriate that, as Edinburgh’s biggest gin brand, we support the largest event in the capital’s calendar.”
“This three year deal is our biggest sponsorship commitment so far and it reflects the growth and expansion of the company.”
“Edinburgh consumes more gin than any other UK city and there is no better time to celebrate that than during the Festival in the heart of the capital with Edinburgh Gin,” said Alex.
The Edinburgh Gin sponsorship agreement is with Salt ‘n’ Sauce Promotions Ltd who will deliver the St Andrew Square summer celebration under the banner Stand in the Square.
Edinburgh Gin also sponsor the annual Edinburgh Sailing Regatta and has a three-sponsorship deal with Musselburgh Racecourse, which includes a bespoke Edinburgh Ginbar at various key races throughout the year and bottles for prize presentations.
