Golden Lore Gin uses tangerine, cranberry and coriander botanicals and at £25, the Eden Mill team hope it'll be an ideal stocking filler for gin lovers.
As the story goes, St. Nicholas threw gold coins down the chimneys of those in need.
His generosity influenced holiday traditions worldwide, and the gifting of tangerines or oranges in Christmas stockings is symbolic of the bags of golden coins he distributed.
The Eden Mill Golden Lore gin will have a woodcut style illustration that depicts this tale on the crest of the label of the bottle.
Eden Mill co-founder Tony Kelly said: “At Eden Mill we are passionate about celebrating the best of old and new, and it’s a gift for us to be bringing this gin to the market, celebrating such a special story for this time of year and the tradition of present giving.
"Not just a gin to be enjoyed at Christmas, Golden Lore will be a favourite for citrus gin fans all year round.”
Tangerine and cranberry: this gin is a deep orange in appearance and has a very citrus and berry-sweet profile. Zesty and sweet orange notes dominate initially, with the tart cranberry bringing a deliciously balanced flavour.
The Eden Mill team said: "This gin is a treasure in itself, perfectly served with a premium tonic or blood orange soda and orange peel twist. Enjoyed all year round, but even more so when presents are involved, Golden Lore Gin is also a brilliant in a festive Negroni cocktail."
