MacGregors Bars is looking to be at the forefront of the current 'craft beer revolution' seen across other venues such as Glasgow's Drygate brewery and Edinburgh's recently opened OX184.

The plan is to build a 'bright and breezy' beer bar with over 15 craft beers and a 'speakeasy' space dedicated to fine spirits such as malt whiskey. There are also plans to include a large beer garden space, complete with a pop-up kitchen for guest chefs and a selection of street food to be served throughout the summer.

The new bar will be part of Inverness' Academy St £6 million refurbishment which is set to take place over the next year.

Bruce MacGregor is known to many as a member of folk group Blazing Fiddles as well as his spot as a BBC radio Scotland presenter. The accompanying video looking to entice for investors, is a humorous take on the more traditional investment pitch, with MacGregor failing to set off a party popper, handing a flower to a disinterested young woman and wearing a 'Wild West' style poncho.
