It may only be October but festive goodies are already starting to line store shelves, with a string of advent calendars launched ready to countdown to Christmas - including one loaded with beer.

Pub chain and brewery, BrewDog, has released its own take on the classic chocolate option, with the launch of three boozy advent calendars that will appeal to all beer connoisseurs.

Inside the main box of the advent calendar is six smaller boxes, each containing a four-pack of beer bottles or cans.

The brewery launched three different advent calendars for beer fans to choose from, named the Equity for Punks Exclusive, the Pack Leaders and the Premium.

The advent calendars are available to purchase from the BrewDog website, with orders due to be shipped the week commencing 19 November, to arrive in time for December 1.

The Pack Leaders calendar is priced at £40, while the Premium calendar costs £70, including shipping for orders in the UK.

Edinburgh Gin calendar

Gin connoisseurs can countdown the days until Christmas with this calendar packed with miniatures.

Created exclusively for John Lewis, the Edinburgh Gin Advent calendar contains 25 mini 5cl bottles showcasing the full Edinburgh Gin range and is priced at £125.

This includes their London Dry style gins – such as the navy strength Cannonball and festive Christmas gin – and their popular fruit gin liqueurs such as Plum and Vanilla, and Raspberry on offer behind each door.

The countdown is a selection box of everything you need to pimp your gin or prosecco this Christmas, available for £30 from Debenhams.

Behind each of the 12 doors are items such as shimmer bubbles or drink shimmer to add some festive sparkle to your tipple this December.

Combining fizz and mini beauty products, this advent calendar is a must for anyone looking for a spot of pampering and Prosecco this Christmas.

The calendar includes Nails Inc polishes, bath bombs, mini Yankee candles, drink shimmers and mini bottles of fizz.

Priced at £75, the calendar is valued at £180.

Eden Mill 12 gins of Christmas

This set – priced at £70 – sees established Eden Mill favourites Original Gin, Love Gin, Hop Gin and Golf Gin joined by some festive flavours – including Mulled Gin, Orange and Clove Gin and After Dinner Gin.

Other flavours include the Caribbean-inspired Slackwater Gin, cardamom-infused Rai Gin, the Mediterranean Botano Gin and the so-called ‘juniper monster’, the Juniper Trio Gin.

Fans of bourbon will enjoy this Jack Daniel's calendar, which makes it debut this Christmas.

Containing 23 5cl bottles from the core range, such as Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Tennessee Honey, Tennessee Fire, Gentleman Jack and Single Barrel.

Priced at £60, the calendar is available from Asda and online at the Jack Daniel's store.

Tea lovers can enjoy a range of warming festive flavours with Pukka's tea calendar. £9.99 from Amazon.

With infusions such as vanilla chai and wild apple and cinnamon, the selection also has favourites including Matcha green tea.

Wine advent calendar

Discount supermarket Aldi have also embraced the drinks related advent calendar and are set to re-introduce their popular wine advent calendar this year.

Wine fans can look forward to a miniature bottle of red, white, rosé and sparkling wine this fun calendar, which will be in stores on 4 November.

An alternative to a standard chocolate advent calendar, the Cheese Advent Calendar will be available to buy in ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Booths stores, nationwide from November 14.

Including 24 individually wrapped cheeses, the calendar has a unique ‘book style’ packaging design, allowing one half to be torn off after the initial 12 days of Christmas to maximise fridge space.

The Cheese Advent Calendar costs £8-£10 (dependent on retailer) for 24 pieces of individually wrapped cheese.

With seven varieties available, including a limited edition surprise cheese - the calendar includes: Jarlsberg, Applewood,  Ilchester Mature Cheddar,  Ilchester Edam and limited edition Ilchester Wensleydale with gingerbread.

Chocolate gin calendar

Craft56°, an online retailer specialising in Scottish craft drinks and gifts, has collaborated with Sugarsnap Chocolate & Confectionery to launch the product for this festive season.

Craft56°, which was launched by Glaswegian Ally Hardy in 2017, champions Scottish products and works with independent, small-batch producers to offer a wide selection of Scottish craft spirits in their online bottleshop.

Teaming up with fellow Glaswegian entrepreneur Annette Smith, founder of SugarSnap, the pair decided to use their shared passion for craft products to create a unique advent calendar that would appeal to craft gin and chocolate fans alike.

The innovative festive product pairs white, milk and dark chocolate with Scottish gin (as well as other Scottish craft spirits) to produce a range of “tasty handmade bon bons with alcohol-infused ganache fillings”.

Each advent calendar, priced at £36.50, will have at least 12 different flavours and features brands including Makar, UWA Tequila, McLean’s Gin, Sugar House Rum  and many more.
