With Christmas only a few weeks away, many of us will be decorating our homes over the coming month.

While tinsel and lights are traditional, many companies have, in recent years, brought out boozy Christmas decorations filled with drinks.

From rum baubles, gin crackers and whisky advent calendars, here we take a look at some of the best boozy Christmas decorations available to buy now.

These brightly coloured baubles are one of the original boozy Christmas decorations, and are filled full of Pickering’s gin.

They’ve since had an update and are now filled with a range of festive gins from the Edinburgh distillery, including their controversial Brussels sprouts gin.

Each box comes with six gin filled colourful baubles, priced at £25.

They’re available on the Pickering’s website as well as John Lewis, selected Scottish Sainsbury’s stores and in a number of independent bottle shops.

Jacobite rum baubles

This Scottish rum distillery has released The Three Kings Jacobaubles for this Christmas.

Perfect to hang from your Christmas tree or open before the big day, the pack of delicious miniatures is an ideal gift for rum fans.

The Three Kings baubles include: The 45 (James) – With hints of citrus, vanilla and caramel, this robust rum mixes best with a good ginger beer – on ice and with a slice.

Charlie’s Chopper X (Charles) – Bold and spicy with a spirit of adventure, this festive rum is new and young. It pairs best with fruit – combine with sparkling apple or cherry soda to warm up this winter.

All Shook Up (Elvis) – Sweet, strong and ready to rock and roll, this cocktail has influences of Italy, France and Scotland. Orangey and with rich flavours, it works best on ice with a twist. Or, for a little more action, enjoy it with lemonade as a long drink.

Glasgow 1770 Single Malt cracker

Get into the festive spirit with these Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky crackers.

Each cracker contains a 5cl miniature bottle from the award-winning Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Signature Range, choose from one of three expressions – The Original, Peated or Triple Distilled.

Barra Gin crackers

This island distillery is bringing back their popular gin filled crackers for this Christmas.

The crackers will be available online from early December or, if you’re local, from the distillery shop.

Posting on their Facebook the team said: “Our eagle eyed followers would have noticed our Christmas Crackers are back after having a year out. We had so many requests that we just had to get them back in stock.”

 

Rock Rose gin cracker

On sale from the distillery website now, the Rock Rose gin crackers – priced at £5 each – contain a miniature of the original Rock Rose gin – making them an ideal gin for a gin connoisseur or for something different at Christmas dinner.

As well as creating one of the fastest selling craft gins in the UK – Rock Rose, the Dunnet Bay distillery also produces a vodka, Holy Grass Vodka.

Rock Rose Gin is named after one of their rare botanicals the “Rhodiola rosea” which is very difficult to find but grows on the cliffs of Caithness.

Whisky advent calendar

Toast the countdown to Christmas with a whisky advent calendar from Drink by the Dram.

The range includes whisky calendars from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, and inside each there are 24 hand-waxed 30ml bottles – ideal for a warming drink in the lead up to Christmas.

Tobermory gin crackers 

Add some sparkle to Christmas Day with these Tobermory Gin crackers, which will see everyone around the table be treated to a 5cl bottle of Tobermory’s award winning gin.

The gin is made with thirteen specially selected botanicals inspired by the Isle of Mull including juniper, elderflower, and sweet orange peel as well as a splash of new make spirit from the distillery’s whisky stills.

Bunnahabhain 12 bauble

An ideal boozy Christmas decoration, this bauble is filled with 5cl of Bunnahabhain 12 – Islay’s most remote distillery’s signature expression.

Inside is dram with hints of sherry and a slight nuttiness, with a lingering, rich and full-bodied finish from double maturation in ex sherry and bourbon casks.

Each cracker is filled with a 5cl bottle of 12 year old single malt from Deanston distillery.

The whisky boasts a creamy sweetness with hints of fruit, malty honeyed spiciness, and soft vanilla. The team say that ‘the gentle warmth of this whisky makes it an ideal for sharing with friends and family over the holiday period.’
