Exhibitors announced for ‘biggest ever’ Scottish whisky festival taking place on Burns night

A huge whisky festival is kicking off this month and the exhibitors have been announced.

The Scottish National Whisky Festival will return to Glasgow on Burns Night as part of this year’s Celtic Connections.

The festival, which runs annual events all over Scotland, will take place across multiple spaces within popular city events hub SWG3 on Saturday 25 January, marking its biggest festival edition to date.

Spanning the Galvanisers, TV Studio and Warehouse spaces at SWG3, this year’s bumper Glasgow edition will give festival-goers the opportunity to sample hundreds of whiskies from world-renowned distilleries and independent bottlers.

They can also explore exciting guest spirits and experimental flavours across the exhibitor line up; enjoy fantastic local food offerings from The Big Feed and I.J. Mellis and sip on drinks from world class mixologists from multi award-winning Glasgow cocktail bar The Absent Ear.

The Scottish National Whisky Festival will also feature a specially-curated bill of live entertainment, including live music from celebrated Scottish performers in collaboration with Celtic Connections to be announced soon.

Gareth Croll, festival co-ordinator said: "We are very excited to be bringing the festival back to Glasgow, our spiritual home, for our biggest ever event at SWG3.

“Celtic Connections is always fantastic fun and we are thrilled to be part of the festival again this year for what is sure to be a truly memorable Burns Night! We can’t wait to show you all what we have been working on. See you on the 25th. "
