The festival has a number of amazing food and drink shows on offer this year, but those who are fans of Scotland's national drink should check out A Dram is Worth a Thousand Words at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's newly refurbished premises at Queen Street - which include the Kaleidoscope whisky bar.
Kaleidoscope, which opened its doors on 1st August this year, has quickly become a favourite destination of whisky fans visiting the city, and invites guests to explore its "ever-changing spectrum of whisky flavours", with more than 200 rare single malt whiskies and other spirits available at the bar each month.
Celebrating its immense single cask collection, The Society is inviting those attending the Fringe this year to enjoy a "tutored whisky tasting like no other", in the company of the society's hugely knowledgeable brand ambassador.
It's the perfect opportunity to learn about cask strength whisky and discover new flavours in the comfort of an excellent whisky bar.
Laura Roberts, brand manager for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society said: “‘A Dram is Worth a Thousand Words' is a three-dram tasting, which includes in depth information and tutorials from our brand ambassador; helping whisky novices learn about and navigate our whiskies, and allowing connoisseurs to get the most out of their single cask experience.”
Priced at just £15 per person (£12.00 concession), each tasting session takes an hour and is available at 1pm, 3pm and 7.30pm daily throughout August.
