Waitrose Cellar has launched its annual summer sale and it includes an award-winning whisky at a very low price.
The supermarket's 'hand-picked' wine and spirits store has launched its summer sale for 2024 and discounts include up to 25% off wine, champagne, beer and spirits. The deals include whisky and one has been labelled as 'on par with more expensive brands' by one shopper who paid just £24 for a bottle.

Aerstone 10yo Land Cask won the Distillers' Single Malts 12 years and under in 2022 at the International Spirits Challenge, following a Silver award two years previously.
The whisky is a companion to the Aerstone 10-year Land Cask but is matured inland using Highland peat. As a result the taste is smoky and sweet whisky with a nose of smoked meats and a hint of fruit.
Expect a palette of burnt brown sugar and honey for a whisky that combines intense peat smoke with a hint of sweetness. The whisky is a more subtle smoke than a Laphroaig or Ardbeg but still delivers plenty of peat for those who enjoy a smokier dram.
The Aerstone 10-year Land Cask is £24, down from £34.50. The associated Sea Cask is also down to £24 from the same starting price in the Waitrose Cellar sale.
The Aerstone bottles are not the only award-winning whiskies includes in the summer sale. The Ardmore Legacy Malt Whisky was launched in 2014 and picked up a Gold award at the International Spirits Challenge in 2016. A mix of 80% peated and 20% unpeated malt, the whisky is priced at £22 in the sale and is a much more subtle peated dram.
Other options include The Singleton of Dufftown 12-year, down from £44 to £28. The Speyside single malt is matured in European oak casks and is a rich, fruity whisky with notes of blackcurrant, toasted nuts and a hint of vanilla.
Representing Campbeltown is a Glen Scotia 10-year down from £47 to £30. The coastal whisky is a superb example of the region's offering with plenty of rich flavour, salt and a hint of peat.
