Chef and food writer Theresa Carle-Sanders presents historical and character-inspired recipes from the fictional world of Diana Gabaldon. A food lover and bookworm from birth, she grew up exploring the multicultural restaurant mecca that was, and still is, Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2011, while out for a walk in the woods with her dog Koda, a recipe from the Outlander series spontaneously popped into her head. Creative juices salivating, she walked straight home and into her office, where she sent a request to publish the recipe, along with a short, five-question, food-related interview to Diana Gabaldonโ€™s Canadian publicist. Outlander Kitchen grew out of that first email, and Dianaโ€™s generous response the next day. Five years, dozens of recipes, and hundreds of friendships with Outlanders all over the world later, she is thrilled that Outlander Kitchen: The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook is available for pre-order from all the usual online outlets ahead of its release on June 14, 2016.
