The pizza-maker says Valentine’s Day could be its biggest day of 2017 with 475,000 pizzas expected to be freshly-made to order throughout Great Britain on the day and 1,400 pizzas ordered a minute over dinner.
With 4.2 million slices set to be eaten on the day and the research also showing that one in ten Scots will be getting down on one knee to propose to their partner over a meal at home, Domino's are set to offer one couple a unique opportunity.
For anyone planning to propose over pizza, the brand has created a 22-carat gold, "diamond en-crust-ed" pizza engagement ring.
Only one ring has been made and it is being given away to one lucky-in-love partner who applies on the Domino’s Facebook page.
Louise Butler at Domino’s comments: “Valentine’s Day is always one of our busiest days of the year, as increasingly more people are opting for a night in rather than going out – and what better way to spend the evening than with a hot slice of Pepperoni Passion.
"We’re constantly innovating to make our customers’ lives easier - and our new pizza engagement ring is the ultimate gift for someone planning to pop the question this 14th February. Combined with our cheesiest love songs playlist who could possibly say no?!”
