Piping Live! is scheduled to take place this August making a grand return to Glasgow's George Square.
Expected to attract over 40,000 spectators, the week of piping will utilise a number of venues throughout the city with a full programme of events on offer.
For the first time, Piping Live! will introduce a brand new Pipers Market food marquee where revellers can grab some locally sourced Scottish food.
The market marquee will be open from 11am every day at George Square from Monday 10th - Friday 14th August 2015. The market will also include the Piping Live! information stand and shop as well as a live bagpipe making demonstration from MacMurchie Bagpipes.
Some vendors on the Pipers Market include Lets Make it Better; a community based organisation offering a variety of jams, chutneys, marmalades, cakes and filled sandwiches, and Highland Hog Roast; a family run company who will be offering up fully loaded home-reared pork rolls served with all the trimmings.
Traditional Scottish confectionary, chocolate, artisan coffee and other organic produce will also be up for grabs.
Supported by Community Food Fund, festival organiser Roddy Macleod spoke of his excitement about the new addition: "As it's Scotland's Year of Food and Drink, we wanted to bring some of the best delicacies from across the country to Glasgow - so we're very excited about the addition of the Pipers Market at this year's Piping Live!
"We have a terrific array of food and drink available and can't wait to welcome visitors from August 10th."
Director of Sugar Wings, Stacy Hannah told the Scotsman Food and Drink how thrilled she was to be part of the Pipers Market: "We have had such a busy year so far and we were actually working another event when we were approached by Piping Live! to take part. Of course, we said yes straight away. We've always saw the buzz around Glasgow at this time of year thanks to the festival, so we can't help keep spirits high with some delicious chocolate."
Piping Live! will take place from 10th-16th August 2015.
