His new venture with Glasgow's Hyde Bar owner Iain Donald is scheduled to undergo a full refurbishment come the last week of July and is expected to open doors early August.

"We shall be introducing a staging area", reveals Heggie "which will allow us to pursue live music each night. We would very much like to introduce a 'jazz-funk vibe' to the already existing vibrant Bath Street hub."

Speaking of the development, Heggie adds, "The plan is to introduce more natural daylight to what is a rather dark and dreary existing interior"

The decor plans are already in motion as the owners plan to tackle the existing interior with bursts of olive green and splashes of guilded gold. Dark wood and copper will also be introduced to give the bar a more natural yet rustic dynamic.

Despite a focus on gin as the name suggests, the owners are keen to move away from the concept of being simply a "gin bar". With a selection of 40-50 Scottish gins on the drinks menu, the venue will also be serving up a highly anticipated range of bespoke cocktails, a range of wine and bubbles, craft beer aplenty and a sizeable whisky offering.

Speaking of the food menu - the young entrepreneur adds, "Our menu will be accessible to a wide demographic with contents ranging from burgers, pizzas and crepes to small plate options and a grill menu of sorts."

"We really want to create a fun, vibrant and cool venue which can nestle neatly into an already pretty awesome Bath Street vibe."
With close competition nearby on the already bustling Bath Street, Heggie speaks highly of the neighbouring bars stating, "Some of the bars up and down this street are doing some great things and we have the utmost respect for those units and operators..."

"We are confident that Bathtub & Co will add another dynamic to keep the area at the forefront of city centre socialising."
The venue is set to open doors on 104 Bath Street - soon to be the former Oscars Bar.
