Crossbasket Castle launches Roux dinner series - with wine, whisky and gin drinks pairings

A luxury hotel outside of Glasgow is set to host a series of Roux-designed dinners, paired with a range of drinks.

Crossbasket Castle - a five-star luxury hotel located just 12 miles from Glasgow - has recently launched a range of exclusive dinners, with menus designed by Michel Roux Jr - each of which will be paired with different drinks.

The dinners, which will take place on 6, 13 and 20 August, will include a menu paired with wine, Hendricks Gin or Glenfiddich Whisky.

Priced at £45 per person, diners can treat themselves to an overnight stay for £125 per room.

Speaking of the dinners, general manager Rob Baird said: “Following lockdown, many people are eager to treat themselves to a luxury experience.

"These events are the perfect opportunity for couples or groups of friends to relax in a 17th Century castle and enjoy wonderful food and drinks, served by our highly trained team.

“With specially curated menus designed specifically for the tasting, as well as the stunning surroundings of Crossbasket Castle, there couldn’t be a better way to spend an evening out.”

Wine lovers should reserve their spot soon, as the first event takes place on Thursday 6 August.

The hotel, based on the outskirts of Glasgow is home to the Roux family restaurant, Albert & Michel Roux Jr at Crossbasket Castle.
