Taste Buchanan introduces their new street food stars for 2017

Taste Buchanan Glasgow has unveiled four of Scotland’s up-and-coming street food traders as additions to its lineup for 2017.

Seafood slingers Shrimpwreck, pot-sticker specialists Sunshine Kitchen, gourmet chip gurus Loaded and Mexican masters Taco Mazama will all take up residence in the street food hub at Buchanan Galleries shopping centre in the near future.

This is the second bill of independent vendors since street trading specialists StreetDots opened Taste Buchanan last summer.

Its mission to showcase a new mix of Scotland’s best street food traders every few months.

StreetDots co-founder Atholl Milton said: “Taste Buchanan helps young street food businesses reach new customers in a go-to dining destination. The latest lineup is eclectic, international and delicious, the perfect mix for Scottish foodies.”

Introducing the first footers:

Shrimpwreck – tempura king prawn buns, fresh fish tacos, and fish finger sarnies from Edinburgh’s finest street food slingers.

Loaded - regular or sweet potato chips loaded your way. Choose from toppings like smoked haggis, halloumi or classic poutine.

Taco Mazama - Glasgow and Edinburgh based Taco specialists dishing up healthy Mexican classics.

Incumbents 7 Saints Bar (shakes, cocktails and beers) and Roaster’s (mac ‘n’ cheese toasties) will continue to serve.

Taste’s pioneering line-up of traders; Nomad Pizza, Chompsky, SurfDogs and Julie’s Street Kitchen will all be moving on to pastures new but there’s still a time to catch them if you’re quick.
