After launching a vegan black pudding supper in their west end branch, the chippy will be serving four plant-based dishes.
Posting on their social media, Catch said: "CATCH Giffnock is going VEGAN. You asked and we delivered...
"We now have a selection of vegan dishes available at CATCH Giffnock 🎉 Vegan Fish and Chips (banana blossom); Vegan Black Pudding; Vegan Haggis and Chickpea, Spinach and Corn Burger
"Which one are you going to try first?"
The team then stated that although the dishes are vegan, they are cooked alongside non-vegan dishes, saying: "We are working hard to bring the best vegan offering to our Giffnock branch as possible, but we simply don't have enough pan space to cook our vegan dishes completely separately."
Owner Giancarlo Celino said that the new vegan menu was down to demand and that "nobody else offered vegan fish and chips in Glasgow so we wanted to be first to market."
Adding to this he said: "We decided to pick our best selling fish and chip items and try and find alternatives for them. So far the customers love our vegan products especially the vegan fish and chips.
"We are keen to add more products to the vegan menu but for now, would rather have a smaller selection and concentrate on doing them well."
In response to changing how the vegan items were cooked, Giancarlo Celino said that they definitely wanted to change this and are " looking at ways to cook the vegan products on their own."
