Fans of Harry Potter should put the 21 December in the diary as west end bar, Cottiers, is set to serve up a magical night of good food and drink.

The wizarding dinner was announced on the bar's Facebook page, where guests are invited to: "join us for a magically inspired meal in an enchanting setting…

"This night is the perfect dining evening for the fictional enthusiasts of Glasgow, in particular the magical, wizardy types.

Guests are also advised that: "Wizard attire strongly encouraged, wands permitted and old English preferred."

Starting at 7pm with a shot of luck - "A most curious little potion", diners can then tuck into a delicious sounding four course meal.

Aptly named dishes include: Seeker's starter: golden goat's cheese ball with crisp wings; a conjuring of favourites: treacle pudding served with a magic wand, with the meal ending with an intriguing portion of  exploding bon bons.

Tickets are on sale now and are prices at £34 per person but be quick, they're expected to fly out of the door.
